There was korfball in Canada at one time and I am not sure where. Someone needs to launch the Canuck Korfball Club, maybe in Calgary.

Any korfball contacts in Canada?

The IKF site lists a "Manitoba Korfball Association". I guess that would be in Winnipeg, no idea whether it has been active at all.

People must know ex-korfballers in Canada, maybe there's a cluster somewhere?

We hope that Canada will have some korfball action so we can have another country to play without having to cross an entire ocean and by the next Commonwealth Games they will be able to field a team.

We hope to have the making of an internatinal American Korfball League that will include clubs of the eastern US and parts of southern Canada. That would be cool!

We have two contacts so far and they have played korfball before.

Will you be in Toronto in 2007 or 2008?

The only korfball that will be going on will be in Michigan, borders Ontario, which is not too far by North American standards. We will be having a tournament the weekend of June 14-16. You are more than welcome to play.

Korfball in Toronto is still in the planning stages. We hope to have something going on in the Toronto area in the following year.

Although that would be great, I don't think I will be travelling to the US on that occasion. I do have a rental car there, but I don't think I would travel that far. It is my last weekend in Canada and most of family only have time in the weekends. If the tournament is already on that thursday and friday, I might be tempted if I haven't anything left on my agenda.

I'll think about it....

Greetz,

Steelpan

Must have a subject to finish my Executive MBA Sportmanagement, next year.

Developing Korfball in Canada? Does somebody have any contacts in the country? I know there's a Manitoba Korfball Assocation but no contactadres in the IKF-website.

I have got great plans but I need contacts and support...

Cheers,

Sportsprofessional
