So, we’d like to get more players for our U13/U15 section. We have four girls and one boy, so can’t get realistic game photos. Given the constraints of consent and picture quality, what pics can we use and where can we get them? Is there a bank of photos available on the EKA website? Ideally we would like U13/U15 game pics. We could supplement with training skills pics of our players.

Hope someone can help!

Kathy

Have the EKA said those images are OK to be used for publicity? Just because images are posted on the Internet it doesn't mean they aren't subject to copyright.

Are the EKA in the habit of preventing their clubs from using their images to promote korfball..?

I’d like to think not, but it wouldn’t take long to drop the EKA office an email and double check.

I asked the office in 2013 specifically in relation to their Flickr account and got this response "all England Korfball's photos are free for members to use for promotion".

That's correct. However, credit should still be given to England Korfball, ideally with a link back to the England Korfball website, link to the Facebook page, or mention on Twitter (@EnglandKorfball).

At a basic level photos should have "via England Korfball".

There are occasions where we also need to credit the photographer, please check with the England Korfball office if in doubt.

Do not steal photos. Do not save photos and the re-post as your own. Most photos that are shared on social media sites will allow you to re-post or re-share, this ensures the source will be credited. Contact me if you're unsure.
