Anyone know why the games are on so late? Why cant they be middle of the day when all there teams are there? |
| Graham Crafter |
On the Saturday all the teams should be able to stay as they play again the next day. On the Sunday, surely one does not expect the League final to take place and then when that's finished go back to Champions Trophy matches which are round robin. To me it seems logical, as there is only one hall this year, to complete the CT on each day first, but others may disagree. |

Can someone tell me when the fixtures are for sunday? 3rd 4th and EKL final? Thanks |

Congrats to Trojans on winning the EKL final 18-15. Well played Nottingham, too. And Bec beat Kingfishers 20-13 to come third. Well done Bec and well tried Kingfishers. Big thanks to Playkorfball (Twitter) for keeping me updated Korfball Kathy Nottingham K.C. PS Who's in the EKL next year? Did Manchester make it?

Congratulations to Trojans, 5 years in a row, only Mitcham have done as many consecutively.quote: Perhaps our experience at the Shield, with a great number of competitive games, will turn out to be better preparation for winning the league than 3rd at the Europa Cup? Who knows.
Looks like that wasn't the case.... So Nottingham yet again fail to beat Trojans in the league. With some of their players leaving next season, was this their best chance to win the biggest prize in English Korfball? Edited by - Doomsday on 07 May 2012 13:42:00 |

Fantastic final to watch, could have gone either way. Well fought by both teams up to the final whistle. In answer to your question Kathy, Tornadoes won the champions Trophy, Norwich Nights 2nd, closely followed by Cambridge Ciy 1. It was a great weekend.Edited by - kp on 07 May 2012 12:38:54 |

Sounds like a great game and congratulations to Trojans. This may well have been the best opportunity that Nottingham could have for a while to win the national championships |

Cambridge City would like to say thank you to the organisers, and congratulations to Tornadoes and Norwich Knights for securing EKL status next season. This was our first appearance at the Champions Trophy and while we missed out on the results we were looking for by the odd goal, it was a fantastic experience for the 30 or so of us who were there to play and to support. We are an ambitious club on an upward curve, and we will be doing everything we can to be at Champions Trophy next year and achieve our goal of promotion to EKL.

I was at the play offs and was really impressed with Cambridge City, it was a great shame there werent 3 places up for grabs.

Tornadoes would like to thank the EKA for organising the NL Playoffs and the Champions Trophy at the weekend. The 2 days proved to be a steep learning curve for many of our young players with very competitive and demanding games. We would like to congratulate all the area teams who made it through to the finals and wish them well next season. Congratulations to Trojans for winning a nail biting closely fought game.I know our youngsters learnt a great deal from watching them. |

Well given that your top team won the league, and had not lost a game all year, its fitting that they won the playoffs. We look forward to seeing Trojans at the EUROPA CUP, Hungary 2013. my sources also indicate that they will be seeded! |

Thank you Karen. I was certainly very proud of our squad, and supporters. We were hugely disappointed to narrowly miss out on promotion (having drawn with Tornadoes and missed out in the final seconds against Knights), but will learn from the experience and will do everything we can to come back even stronger next year. With plans already afoot for the season ahead, Cambridge City would love to hear from anyone interested in joining us in our quest to retain the CKA League title and better this season's two EKA Bronze medals in 2012-2013 Cambridge City - looking to the future
